Let's face it, most days we can pretty much expect to wake up and feel like there's just too much going on and no time to stop and take care of ourselves and our health.
Maybe you feel like you're doing everything you should be doing, but you're still not feeling super well and your hormones or periods are "wonky." Everywhere you turn, there’s an article or post about “clean eating” or “healthy lifestyles” or “food sensitivities" for energy & hormone health. Those posts look gorgeous and make it look easy, don’t they?
It might not feel easy to you. You’re just doing your best to wade through the information, eat healthy foods and keep yourself energized enough to do your job, care for your family, and oh yeah—exercise and stay healthy. The last thing you need is another post to make you feel like you have no idea what you’re doing.
Perhaps you find a little voice asking any of the following:
"What if this pain or illness just won't go away, even though I'm doing everything I can?"
"What if I can't get pregnant?"
"What if I don't get my body back after having a baby?"
"How am I supposed to take care of myself when I have so many other things and people to deal with?"
I get it. I've been there before. And I'm guessing if you're anything like the former version of me, you've read the blogs, seen the specialists, check all the "how to be healthy" boxes...and yet it seems nothing is helping.
For me and a lot of my clients, things can get a little dicey when it comes to having enough energy when we're working so hard to help others gain theirs back . When we add the desire to be healthy and take care of our bodies to the desire to stay fit, parent, do our jobs or keep to a certain weight or size, we can unknowingly push ourselves too far for our own good.
That's right--too much of a healthy thing is not always healthy.
